Most are around 18", so they are NOT tight around your neck!
Changeable necklaces are 5 tiny nylon coated steel cables fastened with a tiny clasp, and they fit through most of my beads. I make lots of 3-bead sets, too, so you can change your necklace with your mood, or with your outfit.
